The iconic 1977 Ford F-150 truck, known as “Hoonitruck“, created for rally driver and stuntman Ken Block, who passed away in January 2023, is up for sale.
The custom vehicle, which was featured in Gymkhana 10 and Climbkhana 2, will be auctioned at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, Arizona, later this month, with no reserve price.
The truck was built with a powerful 914-horsepower engine, utilizing a 3.5-liter Ford EcoBoost V-6 twin-turbo engine and a custom all-wheel-drive system.
Ken Block drew inspiration from a 1977 F-150 model, which he first drove when he was learning to drive, to create the “Hoonitruck.” The custom version of the truck is a true stunt machine, designed to slide across challenging roads and deliver high-level performance in extreme driving videos. The modified F-150 features a 3D-printed intake manifold, visible through the hood, showcasing its extreme customization.
Although Barrett-Jackson hasn’t provided an estimated price for the auction, a dealership had asked for $1.1 million when the truck was offered in 2021. The construction of the Hoonitruck cost around $1.5 million, and the next buyer will likely need to invest a similar amount to acquire this unique vehicle.
